Redstone's Integrated Test Appliance
The Power of Mac, The Freedom of Windows
Redstone’s integrated Test Appliance (RiTA) provides a centralized facility for Windows© users to build, store, manage and execute Eggplant Functional Tester (FT) and Eggplant Load Tester (LT) automated test cases. Irrespective of the platform to be tested (Windows, Linux, Unix, Symbian S60, Mac, etc), Redstone’s integrated Test Appliance offers the solution.
As a self-contained, self-administering appliance built on the Mac operating system and leveraging the power of Mac hardware, once deployed either in a rack or on a desktop and connected to a company’s internal network, RiTA gives organizations a powerful tool to simplify, improve and automated QA processes easier, faster and cheaper than ever before.
How It Works
|
RiTA is composed of two parts, a server and a lightweight client. The server is responsible for managing Eggplant sessions and serving the Eggplant user interface to the client. The client, installed on a Windows® desktop, is responsible for displaying Eggplant on the user’s local desktop giving the user the impression of using Eggplant on their local machine. On LANs where connections between the server and client are 100 Mbits/sec or greater the user sees little difference in the way Eggplant performs compared with a native application.

RiTA serves as a platform on which multiple copies of Eggplant Functional Tester and Eggplant Load Tester can be deployed. Depending on the number of instances of Eggplant that are required, Redstone offers various appliance models to suit all needs. Contact Redstone now to discuss your requirements or...
